“I started college out of high school in Springfield, IL,” said Lauren. “I then ended up going part time and eventually taking a break after receiving my CNA license to work more hours and make enough money to live on my own. I moved to Missouri about 5 years ago and decided I wanted to go back to school to accomplish my long-time goal of being a Registered Nurse. With the help of Jaci and Missouri Job Center’s grant program, I was able to afford the strenuous nursing program at Columbia College where I graduated with the academic excellence award and got my associates in the science of nursing on May 1st, 2021. I then went on to pass my NCLEX and begin my career as a Registered Nurse at Lake Regional Health Systems , and now serve as the RN case manager of the home health department. Thanks again for all of the help from MO Job Center.”
Congratulations on reaching your goal!
