Over 20 agencies, including the Central Workforce Development Region, partnered together on Thursday, January 26, for Project Homeless Outreach in Lebanon.
Team members from COPIC, Erica Johnson and Amanda Riley, represented the Central Region as agencies and volunteers gathered at the Mills Center to assist those seeking housing assistance, which is often a huge barrier to gaining and sustaining employment.
Robin Durbin, Program Director for Elevate Work, an arm of Elevate Lebanon, said of the event, “We’re trying to help people reach their full potential. They’re struggling. We have several resources and programs available depending on their specific need and their specific situation.”

Elevate Lebanon exists to address the root causes of generational poverty in order to create lasting change. They provide resources, relationships, and a network of support that provides hope, dignity, and purposeful work.
Durbin’s goal is to collaborate with as many organizations as possible to ensure that those in the struggling community have all the resources available to them.
Those in attendance had the opportunity to apply for HUD (Housing and Urban Development) funding and meet with Lebanon Job Center staff to learn of available programs and services.
Over 130 were in attendance.
