In May 2022, Rebekah visited the Rolla Job Center seeking employment. After an initial conversation, Job Center staff realized her experience would be a great fit for the Central Missouri Foster Care and Adoption Association. After calling to verify open positions, the staff shared Rebekah’s information, and the employer requested her resume.

Job Center Staff then assisted Rebekah with tailoring her resume and cover letter for CMFCAA. Eagerly awaiting a response for an interview, Rebekah never heard from the organization.

But the story does not end there. In August 2022, Rebekah saw a new job opening at CMFCAA for a Community Connections Specialist. She immediately visited the Rolla Job Center to seek advice on how to reapply for the position. Staff contacted the employer and connected with a new person who was interested in Rebekah’s background and experience. They promptly forwarded Rebekah’s resume and she was quickly offered her first interview.
