The Columbia Job Center is pleased to announce the return of the Walk-In Wednesdays hiring event on Wednesday, March 19, from 1-4 p.m. at the Columbia Public Library. This hiring event is an excellent opportunity for job seekers in the Columbia area to meet face-to-face with some of the region’s leading employers.
This event provides a unique platform for job seekers to connect directly with companies looking to hire for multiple positions across various industries, including healthcare, technology, law enforcement, government services, and more. Participants are encouraged to bring their resumes and prepare to engage with potential employers.

Walk-In-Wednesdays is designed to eliminate barriers for job seekers by allowing them to meet employers in an informal, accessible setting—no appointment necessary. Attendees are encouraged to bring multiple copies of their resumes and be prepared for on-the-spot interviews.

Job seekers can pre-register for the event at cwdregion.com/wiw, though walk-ins are always welcome. The Columbia Job Center also provides free resources, such as resume reviews and interview tips, to ensure attendees are prepared to make the best possible impression.
The work done to assist mid-Missouri communities is a collective effort of the Central Ozarks Private Industry Council (COPIC), the Office of Workforce Development, the Central Workforce Development Board, and numerous community partners. Services are provided through three comprehensive Job Centers, multiple satellite locations, and an administrative office.
