On Thursday, June 5, the Rolla Job Center and Central Workforce Development Region hosted another successful Rolla Regional Hiring Event at the National Guard Armory—bringing together 39 employers and 79 job seekers for a day filled with opportunity, connection, and community collaboration.

Job seekers had the chance to explore career paths across a wide range of industries, from healthcare and education to manufacturing, government, skilled trades, and more. Many attendees engaged in one-on-one conversations with hiring managers, handed out résumés, and even interviewed on the spot.

These events continue to be a valuable way to bridge the gap between local talent and employers with immediate hiring needs.

“Events like this open doors for job seekers and help connect local talent with real opportunities in our region,” said Sundi Jo Graham, Communications Coordinator for the Central Workforce Development Region.

Of course, no great event is complete without great food—and we were excited to have Arnold’s Grill-N-Smoke food truck on-site, keeping everyone energized with fresh, local flavor.

We’re also incredibly grateful to our event sponsor, Phelps County Focus, for their partnership and ongoing support. Their commitment to workforce development and community engagement played a big role in helping us reach more people and ensure a successful turnout.

As always, we thank the employers, job seekers, staff, volunteers, and community partners who came together to make this event possible. The energy, professionalism, and collaboration on display remind us why investing in local workforce events is so important.
