The Mexico Chamber of Commerce recently hosted the Home Depot Job Fair at the VFW Hall, 2100 North Jefferson, Mexico, Missouri, on Thursday, October 2, from 10 AM–2 PM.

The event was part of a Rapid Response effort to assist individuals impacted by the recent Home Depot layoff. In total, 14 employers and 26 jobseekers participated, creating valuable opportunities for re-employment and local economic stability.

Central Region Business Support Specialists Roger Brisley and April Buckner were on hand to assist with jobseeker engagement, answer questions, and connect participants with additional workforce resources and services.

The collaborative effort between local employers, the Mexico Chamber of Commerce, and the Central Workforce Development Region highlighted the community’s commitment to helping workers quickly transition back into meaningful employment.
