The Central Workforce Development Region is seeking an Employment/Workforce Development Specialist.  If you enjoy challenges, community outreach, and providing meaningful assistance to others,  this is a great opportunity for you!   The position is located in Jefferson City with occasional travel in Central Missouri (less than 20%).

As an Employment/Workforce Development Specialist, you will play a vital role in connecting job seekers with opportunities and supporting local businesses in developing their workforce.  You will collaborate with a team that values creativity and initiative.  Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Connecting job seekers to available positions in the community; Connecting customers to a variety of Missouri Job Center and public workforce development system services;
• Engaging local businesses to identify hiring and training needs, and promoting Job Center services to them;  Attending hiring and community events to promote Job Center services;
