Providing Employment & Training Services in Mid-Missouri
The work done to assist the communities of mid-Missouri is a collective effort of the Central Ozarks Private Industry Council (COPIC), the Office of Workforce Development, and the Central Workforce Development Board, along with numerous community partners.
Services are provided through three comprehensive Job Centers and multiple satellite locations and an administrative office.
The Board
The Central Workforce Development Board is led by a board of directors composed of community leaders from local businesses, educational institutions, labor groups, economic development corporations, community-based organizations, and government entities.
Under their direction, the Central Workforce Development Board implements the Workforce Investment Act principles so that local residents gain access to career opportunities and employers can build the workforce they need for success.
