Boone Believes in me grant
The Central Workforce Development Region is working with Boone Health through a federal grant to provide scholarships to individuals looking to begin or grow their career in health care.
THE BOONE BELIEVES IN ME GRANT COVERS:
Additional requirements to qualify for this grant include:
Residing in one of the following counties: Audrain, Boone, Callaway, Camden, Cole, Cooper, Crawford, Dent, Gasconade, Howard, Laclede, Maries, Miller, Moniteau, Morgan, Osage, Phelps, Pulaski, or Washington
Be a minimum of age 18 at the time of application.
Completion of the certification program and certification obtained immediately following the program. All certifications must be obtained by September 30, 2025.
Commitment to working at Boone Health for two years after receiving license/certification.
Working at Boone Health while earning license/certification.

PARAMEDIC
Program Length: 18 months
Average Starting Salary: $17-18/Hour
NURSING DEGREES
Program Length: Various
Average Starting Salary: Various
CREDENTIALED MEDICAL ASSISTANT
Program Length: 9 months
Average Starting Salary: $16.50/Hour
CERTIFIED NURSE ASSISTANT
Program Length: 12 weeks
Average Starting Salary: $17.32/Hour
SURGICAL TECHNICIAN
Program Length: 12 months
Average Starting Salary: $38-57K/Year
Medical Laboratory Technician
Program Length: varies
Average Starting Salary: $29-$79K/YEAR
