A virtual work experience for job seekers ages 14-24. 

What?

A virtual work experience with job placement after training, allowing participants to implement their newly developed skills. 

Why?

To help job seekers establish good work habits, personal managment skills, increase career awareness, learn money management principles, and more, helping them be successful in both the workforce and life. 

How?

Through weekly virtual training with a Missouri Job Center Career Consultant. All you need is an internet connection and computer.

EARN WHILE YOU LEARN

Participants receive placement in a work experience at the end of the virtual training in a job that allows them to put their newly developed skills to use.

Participants earn $13/hr during Career Club participation, with possible transition to a higher wage upon work experience placement.

FAQ’S

What if I don't have a computer?

Laptop computers are available on loan to participants who do not have a computer for use during virtual training.

What if I don't have internet?

Funding to pay for Internet provided to eligible participants, if needed.

How long does the training last?

Participants commit to 80 hours of training, which takes between 4-8 weeks to complete, depending on participant’s schedule. 

Do you offer any financial assistance during training?

Support Services are available to assist eligible participants with training-related expenses.

For example: travel expenses to and from Work Experience or training locations; Fees for training related testing; Limited Child Care, Training Related or Work Related Clothing and emergency assistance if needed.

How do I qualify?

Participants must be eligible for Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act programs and services and must provide documentation to verify eligibility. 

Will someone help me through this training?

Hands-on Case Management and Instruction are provided throughout the entire program to ensure youth meet career development and job retention goals.
