The Columbia Job Center is hosting multiple hiring events for Swift Prepared Foods as they open their new Italian meats processing plant off Paris Road in Columbia. They plan to add over 100 jobs at the facility.

The Paris Road plant will be one of the largest plants in the Swift Prepared Foods family, at over 325,000 square feet. They will produce dry-cured meats, including salami, pepperoni, prosciutto, and pancetta. Output is expected at 40 million pounds of meat products per year. The plant will also be the first of its kind to produce charcuterie and Italian meats.

Three separate hiring events will be available for those seeking employment. The first is on January 25, followed by February 8 and February 23, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Positions range from entry-level to management. Job seekers can register at cwdregion.com/swift.
