Meet Ashley Bingham, whose dedication and the support she received led her to achieve her dreams.
Ashley’s story begins with her decision to pursue a career in nursing. She enrolled in the nursing program at Southwest Baptist University in Springfield, intending to become a Registered Nurse. Her journey had its challenges, but she was determined to succeed.
Graduating in May 2023 with an Associate of Science in Nursing degree was a significant milestone, marking the culmination of years of hard work and dedication.
Ashley’s journey took a remarkable turn when she obtained her Registered Nursing (RN) license and began working at Mercy Hospital. She now enjoys the fulfilling role of a Registered Nurse, making a difference in the lives of her patients every day.

Even more impressive is that Ashley doubled her income from her previous position as a part-time Medical Assistant.
Ashley’s incredible transformation was made possible through the WIOA Adult program and SkillUP initiative, provided through the Lebanon Job Center. The support and opportunities provided by these programs were instrumental in helping her overcome financial obstacles and complete her nursing program without added stress. It’s a heartwarming reminder of how programs like WIOA can be life-changing for individuals pursuing their dreams.
Ashley was fortunate to have Jaci Howard as her case manager. Jaci’s support and guidance were pivotal in Ashley’s journey to success.
“I am so thankful for the WIOA program,” said Ashley. “Without them, I wouldn’t be where I am today! They were able to help me complete the nursing program without the stress of worrying about finances. It was a huge blessing. Jaci helped me anytime I had questions and was a huge support.
