On October 8, the Callaway County College and Career Fair brought together students, employers, and colleges for a day focused on career exploration and opportunity.

Hosted at Fulton High School, the event welcomed more than 140 students who had the chance to connect with 50 employers and colleges representing a wide range of industries and education pathways.

Representing the Central Workforce Development Region, April Buckner, Business Service Specialist, met with 63 students throughout the day. She shared how the Missouri Job Center can help young people gain valuable hands-on experience through programs like On-the-Job Training (OJT), work experience placements, and formal training opportunities supported by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).

“Events like this are a great way to connect students with real-world opportunities. It’s exciting to see them taking steps toward building their futures right here in Central Missouri.”
