On Friday, July 24, veterans from across Missouri connected with employers and workforce resources during the State of Missouri’s Hire a Veteran Day at the Missouri State Capitol Rotunda. The event featured hiring opportunities with multiple State of Missouri agencies and state benefit representatives, followed by a formal recognition ceremony honoring those who have served.

Representing the Missouri Job Centers were Everett Neal from the Columbia Job Center and Desirae Tauffener from the Sedalia Job Center. Throughout the morning, they met with veterans, shared employment resources, answered questions, and connected attendees with services designed to support their transition into meaningful civilian careers.

Events like Hire a Veteran Day highlight the important role workforce partners play in supporting those who have served our country. Missouri Job Centers are proud to help veterans navigate their next career step by connecting them with employment opportunities, training resources, and personalized career services.

Thank you to the Missouri Office of Administration, participating employers, workforce partners, and everyone who helped make this event possible. Most importantly, thank you to the veterans who attended and continue to strengthen Missouri’s workforce through their service, skills, and leadership.
