By January 2014, he transitioned into the role of Disabled Veterans Outreach Program (DVOP) Specialist, helping Veterans overcome employment barriers and become job-ready. His impact was felt deeply across the region as he offered not only job support but genuine encouragement to those navigating life after military service.
In January 2023, Wayne became a Consolidated Veterans Employment Representative, returning to a dual focus of working closely with both Veterans and employers. Over the years, he also served as backup staff at the Fort Leonard Wood Vet Center and facilitated the Transition Assistance Program (TAP), further expanding his reach in helping service members transition into civilian life.
After 17 years of dedicated service to Missouri’s workforce, Wayne was honored with a retirement celebration at the Rolla Job Center on Friday, April 18. Friends and colleagues gathered to celebrate him.
Wayne’s commitment, compassion, and leadership have made a lasting mark. He will be greatly missed, but we wish him all the best in this next chapter of life.
