Staff from the Lebanon Job Center spent two days at Lebanon High School helping students prepare for life after graduation.

On April 9 and 10, staff worked with approximately 45 seniors enrolled in a College Prep class. Each student participated in a mock interview, giving them the chance to practice answering common questions, build confidence, and better understand what employers expect during the hiring process.

For many students, this was their first experience with a formal interview setting. Staff provided guidance, feedback, and encouragement to help them strengthen communication skills and present themselves professionally.

Experiences like this bridge the gap between education and employment. By working directly with students before they enter the workforce, Missouri Job Center staff help ensure job seekers are better prepared from day one.

These partnerships also support local employers. When students gain early exposure to workplace expectations, they enter the job market more confident, capable, and ready to contribute.

The Lebanon Job Center continues to partner with schools across the region to support career readiness and strengthen Missouri’s workforce.

Schools and employers interested in partnering with a Central Region Missouri Job Center can connect with their local office to learn more about career readiness services and workforce support programs.
