Rebecca Gann with the Central Workforce Development Region made an appearance at the “Project Heal” gathering in Rolla, MO on September 29, 2023, where she championed grant opportunities tailored to support aspiring CDL Truck Drivers.
This community-oriented event was designed to serve as a valuable resource hub for Rolla and its neighboring areas, offering a wealth of information and assistance to all attendees.
The turnout was remarkable, with a strong community presence, as more than 100 individuals came together to explore the various resources accessible in the region. Notably, about 25 of these attendees displayed a keen interest in pursuing CDL Truck Driving training, demonstrating the event’s palpable impact on prospective drivers seeking to kickstart their careers.
The Central Region has currently partnered with multiple agencies to offer CDL training, with tuition assistance possible. Programs include Moberly Area Community College, State Fair Community College, and Clement Truckdriving Academy.
