The Rolla Job Center has partnered with Columbia College to offer on-the-spot interviews with over 30 different employers on Thursday, August 18, 2022, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Rolla campus.
Industries include engineering, manufacturing, healthcare, law enforcement, mental health services, and more. Some employers present include Cohen Woodworking, the Rolla Police Department, Missouri S&T, Walmart, Quaker Windows and Rolla Public Schools. “It’s our goal to help employers and job seekers find the perfect opportunity they can both be happy with,” said Central Region Communications Coordinator, Sundi Jo Graham.” We want to do everything we can to help employers find new team members, and offering on-site interviews is a great way to create that personal connection between them and job seekers.”
For job seekers looking to find a new job or change career pathways, this is the perfect opportunity to connect without having to set up a job interview. Employers have asked those participating to bring copies of their resume and come prepared for interviews. Professional dress is recommended.

If job seekers need assistance with their resume, Rolla Job Center staff are available to assist prior to the event free of charge. Those interested can call 573.368.2354 to set up an appointment or visit the Rolla Job Center at 1107 Kingshighway, Monday-Friday. The Rolla Job Centers serves multiple counties, including Phelps, Dent, Crawford, Maries, and Gasconade.
Other services are available at the Rolla Job Center for both employers and job seekers. Employer services include talent search assistance through the MoJobs database, the ability to reach out to UI recipients, retention assistance, labor market information, ACT Workkeys and NCRC testing, hiring incentives, and veterans services. Job seeker services include job search assistance, free resource computers, career and training services, workshops, skill assessments, work-based learning, and more.
The work done to assist the communities of mid-Missouri is a collective effort of the Central Ozarks Private Industry Council (COPIC), the Office of Workforce Development, and the Central Workforce Development Board, along with numerous community partners.Services are provided through four comprehensive Job Centers, four satellite locations and an administrative office.
