The Central Workforce Development Region is proud to celebrate the success of Miller County resident, Cassidy Prater, who recently became a licensed Dental Hygienist.

Cassidy attended Missouri Southern State University, where she earned her Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene. Through dedication, perseverance, and hard work, she successfully passed her Board exams and is now a Registered Dental Hygienist.

While in the program, Cassidy demonstrated resilience and determination—balancing the demands of her education while also welcoming a baby. Despite the challenges, she remained an excellent student and kept her focus on achieving her career goals.

Cassidy participated in the WIOA Adult Occupational Skills Training program, which provided both financial assistance and ongoing encouragement.

“I would just like to mention that the program helped me so much. It helped me focus on school and not have to worry about the financials as much. Also having the support and encouragement from the program was a great mental boost and a great source of encouragement! The program really helped me complete my schooling and set me up for the future.”

Today, Cassidy is equipped with the skills, license, and confidence to begin her career as a Dental Hygienist.

Way to go, Cassidy!
