Employer Services

Job Center Services

Our Job Center Services offer employers access to a pool of qualified candidates, customized recruitment assistance, and specialized training programs. We also provide labor market information, hiring events, and networking opportunities to help you find and retain top talent. Partner with us to build a stronger workforce for your organization.

Training Services

Our Central Region training and funding services help businesses develop a skilled workforce through incumbent multiple programs. We provide information on training programs, providers, and schools, as well as resources like tax credits and free bonding services. Partner with us to enhance your workforce and drive your business forward.

Services Available

Central Region Job Centers are dedicated to help employers find team members who have what you’re looking for. When people are missing work-ready skills and knowledge, we help them develop into an employee who becomes the next great match for your business.

Job Matching and Business Consulting

Central Region Job Center staff can assist you in writing job descriptions, posting job orders, selecting job candidates, hosting recruitment events, promoting job openings, arranging interview space in our Job Centers, and assessing job candidates. 

Veterans' Services

Specialized support for veterans to transition into civilian careers, including job placement and training programs.

Registered Apprenticeships

Registered Apprenticeship is a paid training program where team members learn a skilled trade under the supervision of a professional and earn a nationally recognized credential upon completion.

Work Opportunity Tax Credits

Earn up to $9,600 in tax credits per eligible worker. There is no limit to the number of qualifying new hires or the total amount of credits distributed.

On-the-Job Training

Get reimbursed for up to 50% of wages while workers get needed training. We complete the paperwork at no cost to you.

Skills Assessments

Now more than ever, businesses need a strong, skilled workforce to succeed. ACT’s NCRC©, WorkKeys, and Talify will help you find skilled employees.

Shared Work

We can help you avoid layoffs by dividing available work among affected employees who receive a portion of unemployment compensation.

Agricultural Employment Service

Our staff offer recruitment assistance, job matching, pre- employment screening, work-based learning, and worker placement in agriculture-related fields.

Rapid Response

Managing layoffs is challenging, but our support team can help. We assist with legal obligations, provide employment-related information, connect employees with job openings, and offer guidance to maintain productivity during transitions. 

Federal Bonding

Uncertain about hiring a team member with limited work history or other risks? Federal Bonding can provide coverage for employees to guarantee personal integrity in the workplace.

List your job openings on jobs.mo.gov to reach thousands of job seekers in Central Missouri, statewide and even in neighboring states. 

Applicant Screening

Let us be your front-line access to job applications for your business or organization. Our Job Centers help review the applications with job seekers, and if desired, can include resumes, and pre-employment assessments and training services to make sure they meet your hiring requirements before forwarding the applications to you.
