Emma Waters recently achieved a significant career milestone: graduating from the State Fair Community College, Eldon Career Center Nursing, ADN program. With the support of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Adult Occupational Skills Training (OST) program, she successfully earned her Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) and obtained her Registered Nurse (RN) license.

Now, as a full-time Registered Nurse at Lake Regional Health Systems, Emma’s career and financial stability have taken a big leap. When she first visited the Lake Area Job Center Satellite location, she worked part-time as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Investing in her education and advancing her credentials has significantly increased her earning potential—she is now making nearly $20 more per hour than before.
